❅ 227g Unsalted butter
❅ 200g Granulated sugar
❅ 375g Plain flour
❅ Vanilla extract
❅ Almond extract
❅ 1 egg
❅ 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Pre-heat oven to 175.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until it is smooth (at least 3 minutes).
- Beat in extracts and egg.
- In a separate bowl mix together your dry ingredients.
- Add these a little at a time, as you do this your dough may become quite stiff and tough to work with. If it does wet your hands and knead your dough by hand until well combined,
- Roll out and cut shapes, your dough should be around half a cm thick.
- Back for 6-8 minutes, 6 for soft cookies and 8 for crispy ones.
- Let cool on tray until they are firm enough to be transferred to cool on cooling rack. Let them completely cool and decorate!
