January Sales Haul

January is all about the sales, normally I go a little crazy but this year there wasn't much that I thought was a greal deal or that I really wanted. Boux Avenue does have a really good sale on though, with up to 70% off and then an extra 20%. I got a pair of pyjamas for £9.60 instead of £34 and a pair of fluffy socks for £1.60 instead of £5. So total bargains! The pyjamas are gorgeous too, and they are my favourite colours; Navy and Pink.

I also got the Ted Baker Pretty Little Thing set for £7.00 instead of £14. I bought this set last year and loved it, it's a bargain considering the products themselves retail around £3-5 each. The cosmetic purse is really pretty and it has a rose-gold zip.

Did you buy anything in the January sales?

10 ways to get inspired for 2017!

So you've made written your New Years Resolutions now to stick at them. Here are 10 ways to get you inspired and keep you focused on achieving what you want to!

1. Try a recipe off Pinterest that your have wanted to try for ages. Instead of sticking to the same meals find a recipe that you've been looking at for ages and try it! Most people have a Pinterest board with 'food goals'.

2. Revamp and mix up a room in your house. Everyone has that room that they really don't like, so change it! Make it your favourite room to be in.

3. Buy a piece of clothing you wouldn't normally and rock it! You know how it is; you see something and think I could never wear that. Well buy it and wear it. Yes you actually need to wear it, but it will remind you that you can be what you inspire to be!

4. Create an inspiration board for what you are aiming to achieve. Bring together everything you want to achieve or work towards and put it somewhere you can constantly see it to remind you. A post will be coming on my inspiration board in the next few weeks.

5. Treat yourself to 'something' get you inspired on whatever you want to achieve. This can be a new water bottle, new gym wear, anything! I bought myself a blog planner which has helped me work towards my goal of 150 blog posts this year.

6. Try a new make-up look that is completely different to your everyday style; such as a dark lipstick. Many people stick to the same look every single day and sometimes just changing it up can completely change your attitude.

7. Don't be too hard on yourself. Sometimes you may not achieve what you want straight away. It's easy once you've slipped up to say "Oh well, won't bother with that anymore". Remind yourself that there's tomorrow and don't give up!

8. Go for a walk to relax your mind. Sometimes you get too preoccupied, so your mind becomes full of all this useless stuff; which will not help when you're trying to accomplish anything.

9. Make a playlist. Music is create for making and keeping you inspired so make a playlist of songs that make you want to be a go-getter. Whenever you aren't feeling inspired listen to it, it'll keep in you in a great mind frame and feeling positive for the future.

10. Give yourself credit for what you have achieved. Pay attention to your physical, mental and emotional well-being. The state of mind you need to be inspired will be difficult to achieve if you aren't addressing your needs. So look after yourself and don't be too hard on yourself otherwise you can't achieve anything.

Youtubers I'm Loving Right Now

I've been watching Youtube for what seems like forever but there are very few people that I consistently watch time and time again. I love catching up on their vlogs every week and seeing what they've been getting up to. They def deserve a ton more subscribers than they have!

I first came across Holly around 3 years ago, when she was pregnant with her daughter Katarina. Since then she has grown so much as person and you can definitely see how much time she puts into her videos; her baking and beauty skills are incredible. She's definitely one to watch and deserves much more recognition for her videos (her storytime videos are really great too). She films all her videos at night which I can definitely relate too as that's when I get the most done. She's also been in the Superdrug magazine recently which was really cool to see.

I've been watching Rosanna for a couple of years now (I actually went back and watched her vlogs from the beginning I enjoyed them that much!) Her videos are really great to watch whether you want a beauty tutorial, a vlog, or a fitness video she covers all bases. Her make-up skills are amazing and I definitely trust her reviews and opinions. She is really relatable and down to earth and isn't afraid to talk about the controversial stuff. There has been many times when she is talking about what she is going through and I'm feeling the exact same way so it's really great to know you're not the only one. Oh and and on a lighter note I love her Snapchat too.

I discovered Amelia through Rosanna and have been watching her for a while now. Through out the time I have been watching her she hasn't had the best time of it and 2016 wasn't the best year for Amelia but the strength that she has shown is truly inspiring. It was been incredible to watch her grow as a person and really come into herself. Her videos are more travel and lifestyle based with beauty on occasion too. I have serious envy of some of the places she has travelled to; Thailand is somewhere I have always wanted to visit! I love reading her blog aswell.

Beauty Bucket list - products and brands to try in 2017!

I guess you could call this the beauty goals posts versus my other 2017 resolutions style post. Recently I've come to the conclusion that I seem to stick to using the same products and the same brands so the aim of this post is to list the products I've been wanting to try in an attempt to get me out of my comfort zone and try new things!

Nars
I have never tried anything from Nars so this year I want to. I don't know what though so I'll have to do some research into what Nars does best at and try and find some recommendations.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
I have wanted to try the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish forever and hopefully 2017 will be the year I do. I'm not much of a skincare junkie but this is definitely a product I have heard a lot about and am intrigued!

NYX
NYX has been readily accessible for a while now and I've been meaning to try one of their soft matte lip creams, because they look amazing, come in so many colours and are only £5.50! Who knows maybe I'll try some of their other products too.

Eylure
I'm a novice when it comes to eyelashes but I was gifted a pair last year and  I really want to start wearing them more often even if it's only on special occasions.

Sleek
I tried a Sleek eye shadow palette a few years ago and I loved it but I haven't tried anything since so I want to try so more of their palettes whether it be face or eyes.

Milani Blushes
I having been looking at the baked blushes forever they look so pretty and I want to see if they are any good. The rose blushes also look really good as do some of the lipsticks.

Hopefully later on in the year I will be able to update with how many of these products I have tried and my opinions of them!

12 things to accomplish in 12 months

Each year I tend to make New Years Resolutions and I never seem to be the best at sticking to them. So this year whilst I may still make some New Years Resolutions I've decided to focus on 12 things to try and accomplish in the next 12 months because that seems totally do-able. Especially since some of them are not big things at all!

1. Create a budget - and stick to it! I love saving money much more than I love spending it, so I want to actually have more savings this time next year.

2. Pass my theory test. It's my aim every year to pass my driving test, so this year I'm just going to try and pass my theory!

3. Make new friends. Over the last few years I have been living in Southampton, and I have like no friends here at all! So I want to try and meet new people and hopefully attend some blogger events.

4. Have more natural make-up days. I tend to wear full glam everyday so I want to aim to have more chill make-up days and be more confident in doing so.

5. Reach 2000 Instagram followers. I made it to 1000 this year so let's make it to 2000 in 2017!

6. Cook a roast dinner a month. Totally random but I really wish I had more roast dinners, I always forget how much I love them.

7. Complete a series. I never finish a series of anything really so I want to watch a whole series from start to finish.

8. To write 150 blog posts in 2017. That's around 12-13 posts a month which is totally possible and realistic, I really want to put effort in this year with my blog.

9. Find a hobby that I love. There aren't very many things that I really love doing so I want to discover or even rediscover a hobby that I love.

10. Take better quality pictures. This kinda relates to writing more blog posts. I want to improve the quality of the pictures that goes with them.

11. Decide what I want to do after Uni. Life seems so overwhelming and I have no idea what I want to do next.

12. Look after myself a little more. Whether it be my mental or physical health, to look out for myself and treat myself better.

What do you want to accomplish this year?
